Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services consistent with the California Business and Professions Code, Occupational Therapy Practice Act, and the American Occupational Therapy Association Standards. The primary responsibilities include evaluating, assessing, planning, and developing therapy programs to meet patients' functional needs, as well as participating in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and maintaining documentation. This role involves coordinating therapy programs with patients, families, and other team members to improve functional outcomes.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Provides occupational therapy services in compliance with professional standards and practices.
- Develops and implements therapy programs to address patients' functional needs.
- Participates in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and represents the Medical Therapy Program.
- Coordinates therapy programs with patients, families, and caregiving teams.
- Fabricates and applies adaptive equipment to improve patient outcomes.
- Sets functional goals in collaboration with physicians, patients, and caregivers.
- Provides education to patients and families to achieve therapy goals.
- Supervises clinical staff and participates in student and employee education.
- Participates in organizational performance improvements.
