Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Clinician to facilitate group treatment modalities and conduct initial assessments of new patients. The Clinician will develop and review treatment plans, conduct progress notes, and monitor medical records accuracy. This role involves creating therapeutic relationships, ensuring effective communication with involved parties, and managing patient crises.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Effectively facilitate group treatment modalities using approved curriculums and standard techniques.
- Conduct initial assessments and develop initial treatment plans for new patients.
- Develop master treatment plans in a timely manner using data from assessments and team input.
- Review and update treatment plans for assigned patients regularly as prescribed by program policies.
- Utilize treatment planning meetings to assess problems, progress, and discharge plans for patients.
- Enter accurate progress notes within established timeframes addressing treatment goals.
- Document incidents or unusual occurrences as they happen.
- Monitor medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Notify Program Director of any omissions in medical records and follow-up for corrections.
- Complete discharge summaries for patients in a timely manner.
- Participate in public relations and educational activities as assigned.
- Demonstrate competency working with adult patients addressing age-specific needs.
- Develop therapeutic relationships and schedule regular interactions to review goals and progress.
- Maintain documented contacts with those involved in patient care acting as liaison for updates.
- Monitor patient attendance and address attendance problems promptly.
- Gather information, initiate, and implement behavioral contracts as needed.
- Assist in counseling patients about funding issues as requested.
- Coordinate with attending physician regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Follow mandatory reporting laws in a timely manner.
- Follow billing procedures accurately and conduct insurance reviews effectively.
- Manage patient crises situations effectively along with other responsibilities as required.
