Job Summary
The Clinical Trial Manager will work with our client to support the Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The primary responsibilities include estimating costs for clinical trial activities, negotiating with sponsors, and understanding clinical trial protocols. Collaboration with cross-functional inter-departmental teams and preparation of financial reports for stakeholders are also essential duties. Proficiency in Excel and other administrative tasks related to launching clinical trials are required.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Estimate costs related to clinical trial activities and negotiate with sponsors.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with inter-departmental teams.
- Proficiency in Excel using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation, and other complex functions.
- Other duties as required to assist in launching clinical trials.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with medical and accounting terminology.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial systems in clinical trial management.
- Experience with word-processing and spreadsheet software programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat software.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Experience
- Experience with implementing clinical trials and research administration.
- Experience working with clinical trial management system applications and processes.
- Understanding of accounting principles to evaluate financial data, including cost structures, trial budgets, and payment terms.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in a dependable, punctual, detail-oriented manner, following protocols precisely.
- Maintaining meticulous data management ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations and policies.
- Ability to work with a variety of internal and external project staff and research participants.
Schedule / Shift
Normal schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm).
