Our fast-paced clinic is seeking an energetic individual to work as a full-time Medical
Assistant. This individual must be adaptable and able to perform several different role
based on the needs that day. This role must work collaboratively with all clinic staff i
support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and displaying a positive
demeanor. You are responsible for providing quality patient care and customer service
in the areas of chart monitoring, outside provider communication, prior authorizations,
answering phones, checking in patients, registration, scheduling, chart preparation,
filing, and payment processing in a busy clinical environment
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:50 am - 5:00 pm core hours, with some days extending to
5:30 pm; some Friday training with advance notice
Create an inviting environment to patients by providing outstanding, cheerful, ever-helpful service
Pleasantly greet patients on the phone and in person, and determine purpose of visit
Follow supervisor’s directions and clinic policies and procedures in all activities
Collect registration forms, verify insurance information and update any new
information
Graciousness and respect in all interactions with patients and staff
Give and accept feedback gracefully
Complete daily cash handling and provider log
Schedule patients based on predetermined appointment arrangements
Pull and organize patient charts prior to appointment
Answer incoming calls on multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries and
relay messages to appropriate party
Maintain a clean and organized patient waiting area
Scanning and filing patient charts
Respect client confidentiality
Keep focused on tasks in presence of interruptions
Proctor tablet-based app use with patients
Perform vitals and labs
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of reception experience (desired)
Excellent skills in verbal and written communication
Ability to perform detailed work in a fast-paced environment
Positive can-do attitude
Ability to use an Apple computer and navigate computer programs, preferably
including EMR experience
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and work in fast-paced environments
Medical Assistant experience or CNA experience in clinic or hospital setting
