Job Summary
Our client seeks an MRI Technologist responsible for performing MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs. The role involves patient preparation, maintaining a secure environment, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the overall maintenance of the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and explain procedures to ensure high-quality imaging.
- Review patient charts for missed information or required consent and screen for implants or allergies.
- Perform and submit high-quality scans for Radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain patient care before, during, and after exams, notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
- Transfer images to different locations as necessary.
- Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Inspect and report any equipment failures or deficiencies immediately.
- Address departmental concerns with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager.
Qualifications
- Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred.
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem-solver, and a team player.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.

Education
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Current license from the state medical board (if applicable).
- Current CPR certification.
