As a dedicated and confident Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you'll play a vital role in our Edmonds location, managing a diverse patient panel with a focus on both acute and chronic GI-related conditions. You'll have the autonomy to make a real difference, collaborating with a team of 7 providers (5 MDs and 2 other APPs) to deliver patient-centered care. From helping patients find relief from everyday discomfort like nausea to managing complex conditions like cirrhosis of the liver, your expertise will be invaluable.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, leverage your diagnostic skills to identify GI-related and general conditions, and develop individualized, effective treatment plans.
- Manage a patient panel (progressively built up during your onboarding) with the opportunity to build strong patient relationships and see the impact of your care.
- Utilize your expertise to order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging), and meticulously review pathology and test results to guide your clinical decisions.
- Prescribe and manage medications, contributing to the overall well-being of your patients.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation in our user-friendly eClinicalWorks (EHR) system.
- Address patient inquiries through the portal, ensure charts are prepared, and provide follow-up.
- Collaborate seamlessly with our supervising physicians and dedicated medical assistants (striving for a 1:1 MA ratio) to ensure a cohesive and high-quality care experience. (Note: While our skilled nurses are primarily based in our on-site Endo Center.)
- Take ownership of your patient care, confidently managing their needs with efficiency and expertise.
Onboarding Highlights: Gradual ramp-up with shadowing and dedicated training.
What You Need:
- WA ARNP or PA license & national certification.
- Prescriptive authority.
- 2+ years NP/PA experience (Internal Med, Psych, or Behavioral Health preferred).
- Bonus: GI experience highly valued (4-5 years may qualify for higher pay).
