Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Inpatient Manager who will be responsible for overseeing concurrent and retrospective reviews to identify potential opportunities for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) staff and physicians. The role involves leading training programs, coordinating with IS on technology issues, and providing feedback on educational growth within the CDI program.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective tertiary level reviews on specific opportunities.
• Develop and oversee new hire training for Clinical Documentation Specialists (CDS).
• Lead weekly huddles or monthly meetings for CDI and Coding teams.
• Manage and evaluate the activities and performance of assigned staff.
• Conduct staff coaching and assess competency to ensure skill demonstration.
• Utilize CDI software to analyze documentation findings and suggest improvements.
• Participate in departmental and hospital committees and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a team and performing data analysis for departmental performance evaluation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for effective team management and educational program development.
• Proficiency in using CDI software and conducting quality data reviews for hospitals and physicians.
• Ability to facilitate effective two-way communication between staff and leadership.
