Job Summary

Our client is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to serve as a crucial member of the health center's medical provider team. The position involves interfacing directly with patients and other health center team members, carrying out the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Responsibilities include assessing primary health care needs, performing physical examinations, ordering or performing diagnostic tests, and formulating patient care plans to provide coordinated, continuous, and culturally competent primary health care through in-person and telehealth medical encounters.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface directly with patients and health center team members to perform comprehensive health assessments.
• Perform physical examinations and analyze diagnostic data to determine client health status and create a problem list.
• Prescribe various treatment modalities and collaborate with staff to provide health teaching and counseling.
• Manage and evaluate the plan of care, modifying it as needed while ensuring documentation is comprehensive and accurate.
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality standards in all patient communications.
• Maintain clinical practice standards and engage in quality improvement activities.
• Supervise ancillary staff within the care of individual patients and perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to participate in periodic evaluative reviews and staff training.
