Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to spearhead the day-to-day delivery of behavioral health services for pediatric patients. In this foundational leadership role, you will provide individual and group therapy, conduct initial screenings and psychosocial assessments, and oversee treatment planning to ensure Medicaid compliance. You will also mentor fellow LCSWs, collaborate with executive leadership to build clinical workflows, and help shape programming to meet the evolving needs of the community. This is an exciting opportunity to drive both clinical care and program development in an expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct clinical services, including individual and group therapy sessions.
• Conduct PQ form screenings and full psychosocial assessments for pediatric patients and families.
• Create, manage, and oversee individualized treatment plans, ensuring Medicaid billing compliance.
• Document patient sessions accurately and promptly using the AdvancedMD EHR system.
• Mentor, supervise, and provide support to additional LCSW staff therapists.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop efficient clinical workflows and programming models.
• Participate in open houses, outreach events, and occasional community initiatives.
• Adjust clinical services and programming based on patient needs, volume shifts, and expansion goals.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted LCSW (independent license) in North Carolina.
• Minimum 2+ years post-licensure clinical experience in outpatient, pediatric, or community behavioral health settings.
• Proven leadership capabilities in clinical operations while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a startup-like, evolving environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; AdvancedMD EHR experience preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Prior experience launching or building programs in a startup, new clinic, or community setting.
• Familiarity with Medicaid documentation and billing practices.
• Experience working with daycare, after-school, or school-linked behavioral health programs.

Schedule/Shift:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
On-site presence strongly preferred for the first 2–3 months; limited hybrid flexibility (2–3 remote days/week) may be available after successful stabilization and program development.
