Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with managing and processing orders in long-term patient care facilities. Responsibilities include communicating with nursing facilities, prescribers, and insurance plans to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of medication orders.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Communicate with nursing facilities, prescriber’s offices, and insurance plans to fill orders and ensure high-level customer service satisfaction.
- Review and verify completeness of all orders before routing to order entry.
- Manage order shorts, refill files, and process pending orders from previous days.
- Coordinate closely with Billing Representatives to process pending order claims.
- Research and resolve issues related to missing deliveries, medication orders, and incorrect prescriptions.
- Ensure accurate data entry for implementation, reorders, new orders, and patient readmissions.
- Verify accurate input of new orders and maintain patient profiles in the database.
- Promote open communication between internal and external customers.
