Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to handle coding for Lab, Radiology, Recurring, and E&M. The primary responsibilities will include coding various medical services and procedures while ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with pro-fee office visit and preventive visit E&M leveling.
• Assigned E&M levels for office visits with the aid of a facility-specific leveling tool.
• Code common urgent care bedside procedures such as laceration repairs, burn care, casting/splinting, incision and drainage (I&D), etc.
• Understand injection and vaccine administration coding.
• Resolve medical necessity and bundling edits.

Qualifications

• Experience coding Lab, Radiology, Recurring, and E&M.
• Experience with 3M HDM and 3M encoder, Altera EMR, VMWare Horizon, Teams, Office, and Outlook is preferred but not required.

Experience

• Previous experience in medical coding, specifically for Lab, Radiology, Recurring, and E&M.

• Technical proficiency with systems such as 3M HDM, 3M encoder, Altera EMR, and VMWare Horizon.
• Strong analytical skills to resolve edits and ensure coding accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
