Job Summary
Our client seeks a dedicated Chemist to manage daily laboratory operations aimed at ensuring Quality Control across Raw Material, In-Process, Finished Product, Stability, Validation, and Special Samples. This role requires adherence to approved test methods and maintaining precise records. The position also involves aiding in investigations of laboratory testing issues, developing standard operating procedures, and planning for the analytical needs of fast-paced pharmaceutical chemistry analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Quality Control Samples for product release.
- Adhere to approved test methods, SOPs, and document laboratory raw data accurately.
- Plan and respond to the analytical needs of the laboratory to meet production schedules.
- Handle proper sorting, disposal of hazardous waste, and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Assist weekly in laboratory supply and reagent inventory.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six-Sigma.
- Ability to understand, plan, and execute laboratory SOPs related to instrument use and sample analysis.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be able to pass a DEA background check.
Experience
- 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory.
Skills
- Technical skills in analytical instrumentation systems and procedures.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Education
- BA/BS in a related scientific field such as biology, chemistry, microbiology, or biochemistry.
