Position  - Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 

Location: Ventura, CA 93004 

Schedule/Shift: M-Th: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Fri: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to children and young adults (birth to age 21), with a typical daily caseload of up to 6–7 sessions, each lasting approximately 45 minutes
• Collaborate with medical professionals and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in monthly Medical Therapy Clinics alongside a multidisciplinary team, including a physician, nutritionist, and social worker
• Attend regular team meetings and engage with vendors to stay informed on therapeutic equipment and tools (note: therapists are not responsible for equipment ordering)
• Utilize a range of adaptive equipment, such as power wheelchairs, full-body wheelchairs, and specialized walkers
• Conduct occasional home visits in partnership with another staff member; transportation will be coordinated in accordance with compliance protocols
• Support a stable caseload of children with complex and chronic medical conditions, including cerebral palsy, cancer survivor ship, and other long-term physical challenges
• Foster long-term therapeutic relationships with clients, allowing for consistent care and the opportunity to observe meaningful progress over time

Qualifications:

• Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Comfortable working with children
