Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant who will play a critical role in supporting the Primary Care Physician (PCP) day-to-day, ensuring efficiency in the care provided to patients. As part of a robust clinical care team, you will assist in delivering excellent and compassionate primary care, including performing routine diagnostic testing during appointments. Responsibilities also include greeting and rooming patients, conducting health assessments, and providing coverage outside of the primary center when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake with patients, measure and record vital signs, perform patient interviews, and gather medical history.
- Perform examinations and routine screenings, addressing all questions and concerns of patients.
- Report patient needs or changes to the PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel.
- Process patient phone messages, return calls, and retrieve or relay pertinent information for the physician.
- Perform first aid procedures, such as changing dressings and applying bandages, under physician supervision. Use CPR skills when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, maintaining accurate and ethical documentation.
- Provide health coaching to support healthy lifestyle choices and follow up with patients via weekly calls.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity.

- Ability to operate effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations, including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors, and market leadership.
- Strong communication skills, oriented toward customer service.
- Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with claims/quality reports and analytical software packages.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- 6+ months' phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
Skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to think creatively and work effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel on occasion for company meetings.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required.
