Job Description
Therapists provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients in community settings, working collaboratively to support recovery and personal growth. This role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining client documentation, and participating in crisis intervention and case reviews. The position offers flexibility, professional development, and the opportunity to work in a newly renovated, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and determine DSM-5 diagnoses
- Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans
- Provide therapy services (individual, group, and family) aligned with clinical goals
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all sessions and services
- Ensure compliance with documentation and billing standards
- Meet productivity standards with a typical caseload of 28–40 clients
- Provide community-based services including home visits and care coordination
- Apply crisis intervention techniques as needed
- Offer 24-hour on-call support during assigned rotation (1–2 weeks/year)
- Attend supervision, team meetings, and professional development sessions
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and training
- Support lower-level clinicians and interns as needed
- Embrace cultural competence and integrate family values into care
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
- Must hold a valid DC license: LGSW, LISW, or LPC
- Entry-level candidates welcome
- Experience in conducting diagnostic assessments and creating treatment plans required
- Strong communication, documentation, and cultural competency skills preferred
