Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join their Clinical Care team. The position involves utilizing software platforms to improve patient outcomes and deliver efficient clinical services. Under the guidance of a Pharmacist Team Lead and the Head of Operations, you will engage patients, providers, and pharmacies to address patient cases identified by the platform. Responsibilities include handling inbound customer support requests and providing insights into operational processes and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage patients via phone to deliver services, explaining clinical programs and benefits.
• Identify and escalate potential medication-related and health-related issues to the pharmacist.
• Obtain provider contact information and patient information required for clinical interventions.
• Answer phone inquiries professionally from patients, providers, and pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate records in the software platform.
• Participate in process improvement and team meetings.
• Follow up with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and patients to resolve clinical issues.
• Schedule telephonic or video conference appointments for patients with clinical pharmacists.
• Assist with obtaining referrals and authorizations.
• Undertake other assigned projects.

Qualifications

• State Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• National Certificate (PTCB or ExCPT) is highly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medication names.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and MacBooks.
• A team player mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work 40 hours a week.
