Job Summary
Join our client as a Charge Capture Analyst, where you will be responsible for analyzing and auditing healthcare claims data to ensure the accurate capture of charges. Your role will involve collaboration with clinical and billing teams, staying informed about regulatory changes, and providing training on best practices for charge capture. The position is integral to optimizing the charge capture process and revenue cycle initiatives.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Review and analyze healthcare claims data to ensure accurate capture of charges.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of charges to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve charge capture issues.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and industry trends related to charge capture and reimbursement.
- Provide education and training to staff members on charge capture best practices.
- Generate reports and analysis to monitor charge capture performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assist with revenue cycle projects and initiatives as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Experience over education is preferred; ideally a candidate with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of charge capture for departments including OB, ER, L&D, and Clinics.
- Ability to train others and work independently.
- Nice to have experience with Paragon system.
- CPC or RHIT certifications are a plus.
Experience
Experience over everything, specifically with hospital billing and contract analysis for accounts.
Skills
- Ownership and responsibility for tasks.
- Communication skills, particularly in seeking clarification when needed.
Schedule / Shift
Flexible shifts: 8am - 4:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm. Onsite work required.
