* Preparing necessary correspondence to payors when needed
* Handling phone calls, emails, and other communications efficiently and professionally
* Investigating and resolving payment issues, identifying the root cause of any delays or denials
* Sorting and responding promptly and accurately to incoming insurance correspondence and inquiries
* Utilizing systems like Waystar, payor portals, and other insurance verification methods to track claims and payments
* Conducting research and analysis on accounts and payments, adjusting balances when necessary to correct billing or payment errors
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of experience in handling insurance collections
* Ability to review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
* Experience appealing payments or denials with insurance companies
* Proficiency in contacting insurance companies to resolve claim issues
* Computer literacy and proficiency in billing systems
Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience in ambulatory care settings is a plus
Schedule
* Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay
* $19.75 to $22.00 an hour
