Medix is hiring a Float Phlebotomist for a local contract to hire position serving clinics across Indianapolis and the surrounding suburbs. Mileage reimbursement included!

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Collects and processes specimens following proper protocols to ensure accuracy and viability.
• Identifies, labels, and records specimens in the system, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
• Provides exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and coworkers in adherence to company values.
• Handles administrative tasks such as specimen accessioning, processing, and maintaining laboratory supplies.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations, departmental policies, and maintains required licensure.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Must be comfortable floating to clinics across Greenwood, Indianapolis-Nora, Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Brownsburg, Clarksville, Charlestown, Brazil, Zionsville.
• Minimum 1 year phlebotomy experience
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Drivers license and proof of auto insurance

Schedule/ Shift:

• Weekly schedule may vary, looking for someone with flexibility in start/end times during standard business hours
• Most shifts are between 8AM-5PM, but will be required to be available by 6AM if needed (schedules are set 1-2 weeks in advance)
• 40 hours/week
