Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, performs work involving organizing, directing and coordinating the overall operations for Environmental Services operations
- Sweeps, strips, waxes, buffs, seals and wet-and-dry mops floors
- Vacuums, spot cleans and shampoos rugs and carpeting
- Washes and dusts windows, screens, light fixtures, furniture, ledges and walls
- Empties wastebaskets and ash trays
- Cleans and disinfects lavatory facilities and replenishes supplies
- Moves furniture in order to clean
- Picks up trash, empties contaminated materials into special containers and hauls to trash area
- Cleans and washes equipment and keeps supply closet orderly and clean
- Performs emergency clean ups
- Mixes detergent solutions
- Prepares linen and trash for delivery to Staging area-soiled utility rooms (linen and trash are bagged according to specific guidelines)
- Strips patient beds and OR tables
- Terminally cleans discharge patient rooms and Operating Rooms
- Washes walls, fixtures, cabinets, overhead lights and sinks in the rooms
- Dusts high ledges, vents and railings
- Dry mops and washes floors and corridors
- Empties, cleans and relines waste receptacles
- Cleans and vacuums the Doctor's Lounge
- Surface cleans all areas deemed necessary for cleaning
- Removes intubation blade and brings to an area for decontamination
- Performs related work as required, but only after appropriate training
Shift information:
- 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm
- Part time about 20hrs per week
- Rotating weekends
