Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing MRI scans according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will also play a key part in maintaining a safe and efficient MRI environment, adhering to quality standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible. Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - preferred
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously "exceed" company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
Schedule/ Shift: Thursday, Friday 10:30 am - 9:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
