Job description

Medix is currently hiring for a part time X Ray Tech in Summit, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Diagnostic Imaging:
    • Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Ensure proper patient positioning and alignment for accurate imaging results.
  2. Patient Care and Preparation:
    • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering questions.
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
    • Verify patient identity and review imaging orders for accuracy.
  3. Image Processing and Quality Assurance:
    • Review images for clarity and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic requirements.
    • Maintain imaging equipment and perform quality control checks.
    • Work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate imaging results.
  4. Safety Compliance:
    • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients, staff, and self.
    • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Documentation and Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and other required documentation.
    • Ensure imaging orders are completed and transmitted promptly.

Qualifications

Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.

Schedule/Shift

Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am - 4:30pm (Might have to work past 4:30pm on some days)
