X-Ray Tech

Job description

CONTRACT role! Will start by mid May then they would cover the whole month of June and through the 2nd week of July - potential to stay on as PRN status afte.

Duties:

  • Quality checks on all the equipment
  • Ensures appropriate orders are in EMR and gets clarification when necessary before
    performing the x-ray.
  • Ensures appropriate positioning and explains the process to patient to reduce repeat/reject
    exposures.
    • They have to be able to do documentation for any repeats or rejects to support why those are happening
  • They will be seeing walk in patients or patients that are being see by any of the providers that day who need imaging - some will know they need imaging prior to the appt but other may not know and will found out in the appointment that they need imaging done while they're there
  • Patient will check in with receptionist and receptionist will notify the tech of their arrival
  • Fridays are the slowest days (5-10 patients on a Friday), Tues-Thurs (upwards of 30 patients)
  • Most will be ortho and podiatry images - other will be arm, foot and ankle
  • They will work on the machine in the same room every day
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Radiologic Technologists
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT cert)
  • 1+ years experience as an x-ray tech
  • Experience in Orthopedics preferred (need to be comfortable with these types of images)
Nice to Have Skills
  • Orthopedics experience

Schedule/Shift

Hours: 8am-4:30pm M-F (1 hour lunch)

Also open to someone working a M-Thurs or Tues-Thurs 8am-4:30pm schedule (if unavailable for FT)
