Job Title: Cisco Wireless Engineer
Position Type: Contract (W2)
Duration: 12 + Months
Work Location: Remote < 100 miles in the Cleveland / Erie, OH area
Compensation $40 - $45 / hour W2

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our client is a global provider of medical supplies and equipment, with more than 15,000 employees spanning ~ 100+ locations in the US. This role will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of enterprise wireless networks

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working in a specialized Wireless-focused role
• Working with predictive WiFi design tools to virtually conduct site surveys and plan the deployment of WiFi networks, for small offices up to multi-building campus locations
• Participating in the brand new / greenfield wireless implementations projects for new construction locations
• Configuring and optimizing wireless access points and controllers.
• Configuring Cisco Switching, including STP, trunking, VLANs, etc
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Monitoring network performance and proactively addressing potential problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions.
• Performing firmware upgrades and patches to keep the network up to date.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Required 5 + years of professional experience
• Core subject-matter knowledge in Wireless Network Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Predictive Wifi Design / Analyzer tools like Ekahau or Airmagnet
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless Access Points
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Switching, STP, Trunking, VLAN Configuration

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Work location is casually onsite in the Cleveland, OH area - several times / month.
