Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Repair Technician for a 3-month contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording and maintaining control of all inventories and miscellaneous items flowing through Receiving, ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.

  • Location: Southside Flats (Pittsburgh, PA)
  • Hours: M-F 8-5 PM
  • Pay: 18/hour
  • Duration: 3 Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute incoming items to the appropriate personnel.
  • Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record any shortages and reject damaged items.
  • Count, weigh, or measure items from incoming shipments to verify information against invoices and orders.
  • Ensure new items undergo the first article process; account for all inventoried items and replenish via Kanban or reorder techniques; complete quality checks and maintain accurate paperwork daily.
  • Perform dock and truck duties, including unloading shipments, removing and disposing of packaging materials, operating forklifts, and stocking items using hand trucks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies where items received are not documented in the daily receipt log.
  • Assist with shipping during periods of increased demand.
  • Support receiving efforts for rental and trial items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to relevant personnel.
  • Potential involvement in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management).
  • Strong task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 75-80 lbs occasionally and 35-40 lbs regularly.
  • Capability to identify and measure quality-defined standards.
