Job description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to join one of our clients for a full time role in Southside Flats!
  • Title: Warehouse Associate
  • Location: Southside Flats Area, Pittsburgh, PA 15203
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Pay: $18/hour

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a dynamic team? We're seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Durable Medical Equipment Company. This role is crucial in managing inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory control, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. Your role will be pivotal in distributing items, handling dock and truck duties, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute incoming items to the appropriate personnel.
  • Examine, unpack, and verify incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.
  • Count, weigh, or measure items to verify against invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Process new items through the first article process, manage inventory replenishment via Kanban or reorder techniques, complete quality checks, and handle paperwork accurately.
  • Perform dock and truck duties, including unloading shipments, removing and disposing of packaging material, operating forklifts, stocking items, and using hand trucks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies where items are not properly documented.
  • Assist with shipping during peak demand periods.
  • Support receiving in rental and trial items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Certifications/Licensure: None required.
  • Computer/Technical Skills: Familiarity with Great Plains, Horizons, and Excel preferred.
  • Other Skills/Knowledge:
    • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
    • Capability to prioritize tasks and work cooperatively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 35-40 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to identify and measure quality-defined standards.
