Overview
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks of the Warehouse team managing materials within refrigerated and frozen storage environments. This will include actively contributing to develop and maintain a positive team culture within the Warehouse, ensuring that the Warehouse is a safe place to work and that the Warehouse team deliver the highest standards of GMP compliance and Customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety is given highest priority and that the Warehouse is a safe place of work for everyone. Remain in compliance with EHS procedures and requirements. Ensure any accidents, incidents or near misses are reported without delay.
- Complete housekeeping duties as required to ensure that the Warehouse area remains clean, organised and Audit ready at all times.
- Consistent demonstration of a high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to assigned tasks, display a strong Quality orientated mind-set in all aspects of work completed.
- Goods Inward: Positively represent the Warehouse team in all interactions with external personnel arriving at Goods Inward. Ensure that supplies received at Goods Inward are processed in a timely manner and in line with applicable procedures. Ensure supplies received are appropriately stored, accurately labelled and made available to QA / QC as required to facilitate any applicable incoming checks.
- Manufacturing: Provide the highest level of support to Manufacturing by ensuring that material movement to / from the Warehouse aligns with the Manufacturing requirements. This includes providing support as required for the Warehouse Dispensing function. Work proactively to ensure earliest possible identification, mitigation and communication of potential delays or problems. Work collaboratively with internal Customers to maximise Customer Service levels.
- Shipping: Ensure that Shipping Orders are picked, packed and shipped accurately and in line with SOPs, Customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all material movements within the Warehouse are recorded in a timely and accurate manner to produce the highest possible standards and to support attainment of KPI targets in relation to inventory accuracy.
- Complete cycle counting routines within the Warehouse and assist with investigation and resolution of any discrepancies identified.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment in accordance with HSA Code of Practice and SOP requirements. This will include but is not limited to:
- Forklift Trucks, Pallet Trucks, Pump Trucks
- Pallet Wrappers, Pallet Inverters
- Drum Trolleys, Drum Forklift Truck Attachments
- Dock Levelers
- Positively represent the Warehouse and broader Supply Chain team in all interactions, building strong professional relationships and demonstrating our Company values.
- In line with the principles of 5S, continuously monitor and analyse Warehouse processes to identify and assist with delivery of opportunities to develop and continuously improve Warehouse performance.
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of optimum processes and systems for the Warehouse and Supply Chain function.
Experience & Education
- Previous GMP warehouse experience
- Operation of an ERP inventory management system - SAP in particular
