FTE Compensation Rate: $250K base + benefits & bonus

Medix is currently seeking a VP of Cloud Native Product Infrastructure for an exciting opportunity to build a team with one of our top healthcare services clients.

Our client is a non profit healthcare services organization that works in partnership with Health Insurance organizations to offer and manage a centralized hub for Provider and Membership data. Their main IT product is a single source of truth data platform, built with Microsoft Cloud and Snowflake.

This role will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of building an executive team, building and executive on the strategy for Azure cloud infrastructure & security, Terraform Automation, and CI/CD platform deployments.

We are seeking individuals who have had a depth of experience (5+ years of recent, consistent experience) within the Healthcare industry, and who have successfully built a team and executed on a cloud platform services and automation roadmap.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serving as an executive team member, working to direct cross-functional teams (product, security, engineering) to adopt and execute on an Enterprise Architecture/ Infrastructure road map for this cloud data platform product
• Creating a strategic plan for the organization's IT structure and operations, with a goal infrastructure scalability, robustness, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Selling the vision!! Driving the design and architecture of the company's cloud infrastructure that covers home-grown microservice applications, cloud data / datawarehouse, network, security, and platform deployment (CI/CD, DevOps) solutions.
• Lead a high-performing team of architects, engineers, and technology professionals. Leaning on external dev partners in conjunction with a small team of FTEs.
• Collaborating with the compliance team to implement and maintain robust security measures aligned to HIPAA / HITRUST environments
• Planning for, and managing the enterprise architecture department's annual budget,
• Ensure architectural and infrastructure design adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Overseeing the evaluation of current state/ future state T systems and identifying areas for enhancement and consolidation.
• Introducing Microsoft Cloud services spanning IT Infrastructure and Platform CI/CD & DevOps environments
• Establishing and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework and standards, ensuring that it supports business processes and facilitates seamless integration across systems and applications.
• Effectively communicating technology strategies, solutions, and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders - both internal, and external.
• Build strong relationships with business units and external vendors
• Working closely with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate contracts and maintain strong partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Required Bachelor Degree (Master Degree preferred)
• Required - 10+ years of professional experience
• Required - 5-7+ years of recent Healthcare Industry experience (Health Insurer, Healthcare Provider, Hospitals, etc)
• Required - Experience building a Cloud Native Product Infrastructure team (DevOps, SRE, Security) f
• Preferred - AZ 305 - Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Required - subject matter expertise within the Microsoft / Azure stack
• Strong Azure IaaS & PaaS Strategy experience
• Azure Cloud Services
• Terraform
• Azure DevOps
