Job description

No license required! We're looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team and support our veterinarians and study directors in delivering top-notch animal care. You'll assist in a variety of tasks, including medicine, surgery, drug therapy, and preventive care under the guidance of our Attending Veterinarian. If you're passionate about animal health and advancing veterinary medicine, this role is a great opportunity to make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and assist with diagnostics (e.g., body weights, blood collection, urine analysis).
  • Perform animal handling, restraint, sedation, medication administration, and prep for surgeries.
  • Handle cleaning tasks like sterilizing instruments and maintaining procedure areas.
  • Calculate medication doses and manage controlled substances for procedures.
  • Perform data entry, maintain inventory, and assist with equipment upkeep.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS, Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or completion of a 2-year Veterinary Tech program preferred (but not required).
  • 6-12 months of animal handling or veterinary experience.
  • Basic to advanced computer skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Experience with Good Laboratory Practice is a plus but not required; training provided.

Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri, regular buisness hours
  • Fully onsite
