Job Description
Under minimal supervision, perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as requested by a licensed physician. Exercise professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, across all age groups (newborn to elderly). This role involves working with high-risk OB and Urology patients in a high-volume setting with about 15 scans per day.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Produce clear and undistorted images of the necessary anatomy.
- Identify and accurately measure anatomical structures, labeling them as needed.
- Document patient information, test results, and measurements in compliance with protocols.
- Recognize both normal and abnormal vascular anatomy, reporting critical findings.
- Ensure all images and findings are properly recorded in the patient's file.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume setting with 15 scans daily scheduled every 30 minutes.
- Float between the following locations:
- Worcester (Main Location)
- Marlborough (1 day per week)
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
- Certification: ARDMS or ARRT certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in ultrasound technology.
- BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Comfortable working in a high-volume setting.
- Preferred Experience: OB and Urology ultrasound experience, Nuchal Translucency certification, Athena software familiarity.
