**Remote Role, strong internet connection required**

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for taking clinical calls for those calling in sick.
• Once their diagnosis is determined, they will transfer these patients to the nurse line to determine their course of action (get them over to an APP, schedule them for an urgent visit, advise them to go to the ER, etc).
• There are certain trigger words that will determine the severity of the call and what action will need to be taken i.e shortness of breath/chest pains/etc.
• Will be servicing about 20-30 calls daily and each call will be about 10-12 minutes.
• Post calls, they will allow 5 minutes for documentation in which they will be utilizing Athena and clear triage through Athena for their documentation.
• The ability to be flexible in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
• The ability to adapt quickly to changing demands in the healthcare industry
• Effectively engages diverse populations (age, ethnic groups, socio-economic levels, etc.) and provide culturally sensitive coaching, education and assistance to members and their families

Requirements:

• 2+ yrs. Med-Surg + 1 yr. in high acuity (ER, ICU, IMU, CCU, Pre/Post Op) setting; OR Ambulatory Telephone Triage Certification + 3 yrs. in telephone triage setting
• Active unencumbered compact RN license
• Expert level working with various computer software and programs; strong technology skills
• Flexibility in scheduling per the needs of our patients

Shift:

• M-F 8:00 - 8:00pm CST - can have some flexibility as long as an 8 hour day is worked
