Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Coordinator to join our Care Management (CM) team. The ideal candidate will coordinate and manage transportation services, ensuring efficient operations within a healthcare setting. This role requires someone who can juggle multiple responsibilities and thrive in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and approve transportation arrangements for the CM team.
  • Assist in managing logistics and scheduling to ensure timely and effective transportation services.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CM team and transportation providers.
  • Handle coordination and administrative tasks to support overall transportation operations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or two years of college with a minimum of two years of relevant healthcare experience.
  2. Experience:
    • At least two years of office experience in a medically related setting (e.g., physician's office, home health department, case management).
    • At least two years of direct customer service experience in the healthcare field, preferably within a health plan setting.
    • Proficiency in medical and insurance terminology, care delivery, and coordination.
  3. Skills: Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively without getting overwhelmed.
  4. Certification: Must have a cleared TB test prior to or within seven days of hire.
