Job description

A Community Health Center is looking for a transportation specialist to provide to support to there assisted living operations - requiring transporation at various times

This individual will be responsible for managing workflows, supervising employees and optimizing the budget within this department.

They will be overseeing 6 full time drivers as well as a dispatch team.

Management is looking for candidates who have experience in para transit specifically so - individuals who have worked with frail or elderly populations. The position will be primarily administrative, but the employee may be asked to step in as a back up driver in the event they are understaffed

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, 4 years of relevant experience in transportation management may be substituted for the degree
  • 2+ years' experience in transportation management. Minimum of one year experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required
  • Valid WA State Drivers License and safe driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a bus and provide back-up emergency driver coverage
  • Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain within one month of hire
