Telehealth Physician, Family Medicine (Remote)

REMOTE - CA License Required

$80.00-82.00 an hour - Full-time or Part-time

Contract Duration:

September - March (contract dates will vary depending on business and patient flow)

Schedule:

Variety of Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available

Full Time - 32-40 hours per week shifts are between 10am PST - 10pm PST

Part Time - 20 hours per week shifts are between 5pm-10pm PST

Weekend Shifts Available - 8-20 hours per week working Saturday and Sundays

Location:

Remote 100% - Employee will need to utilize their own equipment

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine residency or equivalent program
  • 3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care and/or Primary Care outpatient setting
  • Experience and comfortable with providing care for all ages - newborn to adults
  • Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification (In Family Medicine or IM/Peds)
  • Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
  • Active and Unrestricted State Medical License - CA (Compact License preferred)
  • Not under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and is not identified as an "excluded person" by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health & Human Services or GSA; or reprimanded or sanctioned by Medicare
  • Must maintain Medicare active status

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated physician who enjoys management of all health conditions and who is passionate about raising the standard of healthcare for everyone. The Physician will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages, maintaining accurate and current patient records, and working collaboratively with our provider and support teams. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Document medical information of patients and review patient history at each visit
  • Evaluate response to treatments and medications
  • Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
  • Counsel and educate patients
  • Provide preventative care
  • Manage pediatric and adult patients for both acute and chronic conditions
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans
  • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
  • Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results and prescription clarifications
  • Scheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain seated in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about.

No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., picking up and computer / laptops) may be required.

Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, laptop, and mobile devices).
