Job description

Job Overview:

One of our clients, a Health System based in the Cleveland, TN area, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Desktop/Help Desk Technician to join the team for a critical project involving the integration of two new hospital sites. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the timely deployment and upgrade of desktop equipment and network integration to support the upcoming hospital Go-Live on May 31st, 2025.

Why This Role is Important:

The desktop technician will support the migration and integration efforts as part of a strict timeline to ensure that the technology at the new hospitals is fully operational by the set deadlines. Without this role filled, the hospitals may not be able to prepare for patient care, as the necessary IT infrastructure will not be ready in time.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical upgrades for all workstations, ensuring hardware compatibility with Epic standards.
  • Follow checklists and scripts to validate processes and ensure that workstations are set up according to guidelines.
  • Work alongside engineers to integrate and support the network cutover, ensuring smooth migration of 1000 workstations.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with area directors to understand system connections and plan for cutovers.
  • Ensure that both the new sites are operational by May 31st, 2025.
  • Take ownership of the network and work with engineers to ensure proper integration.
  • Handle post-cutover tasks in a timely manner and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Support the planning and logistical efforts involved in the migration process.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1.5+ years of experience in desktop/help desk technician support.
  • Hands-on experience with high volumes of desktop equipment.
  • Exposure and understanding of endpoint networking.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work after-hours or overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
  • On-site presence required 5 days a week during the project
  • Compliance with standard onboarding requirements: background check, drug screening, and COVID vaccine (or signed declination).
