Job description

Medix is hiring a Surgical Technician to support a bioskills and surgical education facility in Bethesda, MD! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to transition out of an OR setting or pick up additional hours within an educational facility.

Position Information:

This organization is a premier bioskills facility for surgical education and Medical Technology Development. This group works with large device companies to host events that showcase new and upcoming medical technology and allow providers to operate on cadavers to practice and learn new skills in a professional environment.

We are looking for a team of Surg Techs that can be available to support the providers as they would be supported in the OR.

Duties include:

  • Provide a high level of customer service through their ability to seamlessly support surgical operations
  • Prepare lab rooms for cadaveric training
  • Set up surgical instruments and equipment
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures
  • Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly

Schedule:

PRN or Full time opportunities available

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of OR Surgical Technician experience
  • High level understanding of medical terminology and equipment

  • Certified Surgical Technologist, highly preferred but not required
