Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Responsibilities:

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification REQUIRED.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

MUST have total joint experience. They are willing to train on all other specialties.

Nice to Have Skills

2+ years of experience

Experience with a variety of surgeries (ENT, Gastro, Ortho, Plastic, Derm. etc)

Coming from an ASC environment

Soft Skill/Attribute Requirements

Team player - in this environment you wear a lot of hats (assisting in the surgery, helping with turn over, assisting with bed changes etc.)

Flexible: Schedule can vary based on the day / how the surgery goes

Schedule/Shift

M-F 6:30-5p (OR closes at 4 so likely leave at 4 but if things run late they need to be flexible)
