Surgical Scheduler/Coordinator

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination and scheduling of surgical procedures. This position involves close collaboration with hospitals to arrange surgeries, requiring frequent communication via email and phone.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating surgery schedules with hospitals
• Collecting and entering patient demographics
• Obtaining necessary insurance codes
• Scheduling surgeries based on the estimated length provided by doctors or coordinators
• Preparing pre-surgical packets, involving extensive paperwork
• Scanning and faxing post-procedure records to relevant parties
• Preparing patient charts in the EMR system, Nextech
• Coordinating with patients' primary care physicians

This is an independent role, serving as the sole surgical scheduler in the office, and involves working closely with the patient care coordinator to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Pay range: $20 - $27/hr
