Job description

Job Title: Surgical Physician Assistant (Spine, Brain, Neurosurgery)

Location: Valencia, Northridge, Encino, CA

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 - room for negotiation

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, typically 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (some days may be 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM depending on surgeries)
  • Surgery Days: Monday, Thursday, and Friday (Valencia or Northridge)
  • Clinic Days: Tuesday (Valencia) and Wednesday (Encino)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Surgical Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgery team. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about spine, brain, and neurosurgical specialties. The PA will work closely with the lead surgeon, providing critical assistance in surgeries and patient care within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the right-hand person to the physician in both surgical and clinical settings.
  • Assist in procedures related to spine, brain, neurosurgery, neck, head, and back surgeries.
  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including assessments and documentation.
  • Conduct charting and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Make follow-up calls for appointments and scheduling, ensuring continuity of patient care.
  • Support the physician with any requests during surgical and clinical operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • PA-C certification and licensure in California.
  • Experience in spine, brain, or neurosurgery is preferred (including clinical rotations in these specialties), but new graduates with a strong interest in these areas are encouraged to apply.
  • Passion for neurosurgery and a long-term commitment to the specialty.
  • Strong ability to multitask in fast-paced surgical and clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
