HIRING: SURGICAL COORDINATOR

Reponsibilities:

• Surgery Scheduling:

  • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures with patients, surgeons, and hospital/facility staff.
  • Confirm surgical dates, times, and locations, ensuring all logistics are arranged.

• Patient Coordination:

  • Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and special needs promptly.
  • Ensure all required forms, consents, and medical clearances are completed prior to surgery.

• Insurance Verification & Authorization:

  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certifications or authorizations for surgical procedures.
  • Communicate potential costs and payment expectations to patients.

• Documentation & Record Management:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed surgical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure all necessary lab results, imaging, and documentation are available for surgical cases.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as the primary liaison between patients, surgeons, and healthcare providers.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to streamline patient care.

Requirements:

• Surgical schedule experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
