Job description

Job Description: Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare and patient care? We're seeking a Surgery Scheduler/Medical Assistant to join our team. In this 80/20 role, you'll primarily focus on insurance authorizations and verification, as well as patient follow-up. If you have clinical experience, an MA diploma or Bachelor's degree, and a background in insurance or scheduling, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain insurance authorizations and verify coverage.
  • Schedule surgical procedures and follow up with patients.
  • Assist with basic Medical Assistant duties, including vital sign measurement, wound care, and staple removal.

Must Have Skills/Qualifications:

  1. Clinical experience.
  2. Medical Assistant diploma or Bachelor's degree.
  3. Experience in insurance verification or scheduling.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with insurance verification and authorization.
  • Basic Medical Assistant skills, including taking vitals, blood pressure, wound care, and removing staples.

Soft Skills and Behaviors:

  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Independent and self-motivated.
  • Coachable and open to learning.
