Job description

A Urology Clinic in Spokane, WA is looking for an experienced Surgery Scheduler to
provide immediate support to their daily operations.

Overview:

  • Schedules medical procedures for patients with providers, allocating appropriate time, location, and scheduling codes
  • Pre-authorizes surgeries through insurance, coordinates with designated facilities, and accurately logs information into the scheduling system
  • Maintains a surgical log for statistical analysis and provides pre-surgical information packets with date and instructions
  • Coordinates with surgical facilities for special equipment or personnel and ensures pre-operative labs are completed and logged in patient records
  • Uses clinical knowledge to confirm appointments align with diagnoses, audits the phone system daily for accuracy, and verifies scheduling before publishing
  • Collaborates with surgery center and hospital staff to maintain strong working relationships for patient care
  • Treats patients and referring physicians with respect and courtesy, maintains patient confidentiality, and performs additional related duties as needed

Required Skills/Qualifications:

● Minimum of one year scheduling experience in a surgery center and/or medical office setting
● High School Degree

Schedule: Monday - Friday, full-time
