Job description
We are hiring a Surgery Scheduler!
An opportunity to work at one of Southern California's largest and fastest growing Orthopedic clinics!
Location: Laguna Hills, CA (92637)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00/hr - depending on experience
Job Details:
- This individual will be scheduling 2-3 providers.
- Receives about 20 surgery tasks a day and is expected to call within 24 - 48 hours
- Will be scheduling surgery, Pre-Ops and Post Ops
- Responsible for obtaining authorizations prior to procedure
- Send scheduling sheet to hospital or surgical center
- Will also handle scheduling regular appointment visits in the call center when needed.
- Send messages to patients via text message, e-mail, and phone calls.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with Physicians to manage their surgery schedules
- Will occasionally help cover for the Telephone/PBX Operator
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of exp in surgery scheduling
- Ortho is a big plus (understanding body parts and procedures)
- Submitting Auth through insurance portals
- Familiar with managing schedules and sending orders to PCP offices
