Surgery Representative
Job description
Role:
- Hiring for 1 Surgery Representative
- Once Provider confirms a surgery, Surgery Rep will prepare a surgery packet to be completed by the Provider (This will include CPT codes, diagnosis, consents, etc.)
- Once completed, Surgery Rep will send the packet to Surgery Coordinator for scheduling - Once a date/time has been confirmed, Rep will call the patient to confirm the appointment
- Representative will work with patient on approval paperwork, obtain medical history/allergies/etc to be provided to the surgery center for Prep Op instructions to be created - Representative will go over any instructions with patients
- Will print XRAYS & get chart prepped for Provider, for new patients and build them into the EMR
- Post Op: Working with patients to get them scheduled for their follow up appt within 7-10 days
- Will be working within insurance portals online, confirming out of pocket cost / deductibles - educating patients on upfront cost for the surgery
- Assisting with FMLA & disability paperwork
- Can expect doing this process w/ 4-8 patients/day
Qualification:
- Experience as a Surgery Rep/Coordinator or Surgey Scheduler
- Experience as a medical receptionist
Hours:
- Mon-Thurs: 8AM-430PM
- Fri: 730AM-4PM
Pay:
- $18.00 - $19.00
