Job description

Job Posting: Surgical Technologist

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team and play a key role in delivering excellent patient care. As part of our surgical team, you will assist with the preparation and execution of surgeries, ensuring the safe and efficient use of equipment, patient care, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. You will work closely with physicians and staff, contributing to the overall success of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start and finish surgical cases, ensuring all equipment and resources are ready and available.
  • Assist with the unloading and stocking of surgical equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise and direct patient care in the operating room (OR) or procedure room.
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating or procedure room as needed.
  • Accurately document patient medical records.
  • Administer medications per the physician's orders.
  • Help with maintaining the cleanliness and turnover of the procedure room.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, demonstrating excellent teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical records and follow physician orders.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Flexibility for a 4-day workweek if desired, providing better work-life balance.

Compensation:

  • Pay range: $30-$32 per hour, depending on experience.
