Our client is a healthcare system located in the New York area, looking to bring on a Sr. Systems Engineer onto their team on a full time basis. This person will be responsible for supporting and overseeing various data center and infrastructure projects, and providing configuration and troubleshooting. Strong expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server roles, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage a Microsoft Windows Server/Active Directory Domain Services infrastructure, and Microsoft 365
  • Develop and oversee server backup systems to comply with data retention and backup policies.
  • Configure and manage email policies, rules, and user mailboxes in Office 365.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Windows and data center infrastructure performance issues.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of disaster recovery plans for data centers.
  • Offer technical guidance and recommendations to management, and provide solutions to cross-functional teams.
  • Document system infrastructure designs and technical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least one Microsoft certification such as MCSE, MCSA, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • 5+ of experience in deploying, troubleshooting and managing Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure and Windows services in both virtualized data centers and physical environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory roles and services, including DNS, DHCP, PKI Infrastructure, DFS, Group Policy, share permissions, firewalls, forest trusts, print and file services, WSUS, Office 365.
  • Basic understanding of IP subnetting and virtual networks.
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools for HP servers, network performance, and Windows systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Compensation is based on years of experience and in relation to the job responsibilities listed, our range is between $108,000 - $135,000.
