Job description

Medix is currently hiring a Sonographer within a Women's Health Private Practice in Wellesley!

  • Full time, M-F 7a-4:30p, open to discussion for part-time hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides high-quality ultrasound technical service for patients.
  • Prepares a written preliminary report if the exam appears to be normal. If any abnormality is suspected, provides an immediate verbal report to the referring physician or the clinician in the office.
  • Assists in maintaining the inventory of supplies for the ultrasound room.
  • Alerts and assists the Practice Administrator regarding any concerns or problems with the proper functioning of the ultrasound equipment.
  • Abides by the protocols and policies for ultrasound services, including gynecological exams; obstetrical exams in the first, second, and third trimesters; and biophysical fetal profiles.
  • Maintains active credentials as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) as well as NT certification (preferred, not required).
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Offers the highest quality customer service to each and every patient.
  • Keeps ultrasound room clean and orderly per OSHA regulations.
  • Anywhere from 10-13 patients per day.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Medical Sonographer
  • BLS Certification
  • High school Diploma/GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of Experience
