Job description

Billing Operations Specialist
Location: Aurora, CO (hybrid - 1 day/month minimum)
Pay Range: $24.44 - $28.10 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Operations Specialist to support our billing department. This role involves overseeing day-to-day billing operations, ensuring compliance with financial deadlines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in medical billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee billing operations in partnership with the Billing Manager.
  • Perform monthly billing, collections, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance and governmental regulations.
  • Assist with training and support for billing staff.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research and resolve unpaid claims and outstanding receivables.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and generating financial documents.
  • Monitor and ensure billing files are maintained accurately.
  • Serve as a backup for cash posting.
  • Represent the billing team in leadership meetings when necessary.
  • Report weekly/monthly billing, accruals, and denials to management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to reconcile monthly billing for financial analytics.

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical billing, claims, or revenue cycle management.
  • Knowledge of insurance claims submission, collections, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
