Job Title: Senior Behavioral Health Counselor
Duration: Contract-to-hire
Location: McDowell Rd. & Alma School Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85256
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm
Pay Range: $66,000-78,000/year

Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Behavioral Health Counselor, you will be responsible for working specifically with Native American adolescents (age 13-17) with substance use disorders and co-occurring substance use and mental health. This position is a critical position for counseling and team collaboration within a juvenile treatment court setting.

Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Provides individual, family, and group counseling specific to substance use disorder and mental health.
Advocate for and represent the behavioral health component of the juvenile tribal wellness court, a juvenile treatment court.

Requirements

As a Senior Behavioral Health Counselor you must be a great communicator with excellent organizational skills. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be able to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Other requirements of this position include:

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work or closely related area.
Requires one of the following licenses with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners: LAC or LPC, LMSW or LCSW, LISAC, LMFT.
1+ years of direct counseling experience.
1+ years of adolescent or pediatric counseling experience.
Experience working with the judicial system.
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team (behavioral health, court, education, social services, probation, judge, defense, etc).
