Senior Behavioral Health Counselor Overview:

Duties:

Working specifically with Salt River Pima-Maricopa Native American adolescents age 13-17 with substance use disorders and co-occurring substance use and mental health.

Provides individual, family, and group counseling specific to substance use disorder and mental health.

Advocate for and represent the behavioral health component of the juvenile tribal wellness court, a juvenile treatment court here within Salt River.

Case load: 30-35 (all adolescents/court ordered minors)

Run a group on their own 3x/week

Will be at the courts once/week on Wednesdays

Attends on-going training to apply for, and retain, professional licensure and/or other counselor related certifications.

Job Types: Full-time

Work Location/Schedule: M-F. 8-5
